Privacy Policy

The short version

Five Best Places is a static website. We don't have user accounts, don't ask for your email, and don't store anything about you on our servers. There's nothing for us to lose because there's nothing for us to keep.

What we don't collect

We don't collect personal information. There are no sign-up forms, newsletter subscriptions, contact forms, or comment sections. We don't use Google Analytics or any other behavior-tracking tools.

What third parties might collect

Even though we don't collect data, the technology stack we use does involve other companies:

• Cloudflare hosts this site. They log IP addresses and basic request metadata for security and performance reasons. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
• Google Maps data (ratings, review counts, photos, place locations) is sourced from the Google Places API. When you click a “View on Google Maps” or “Visit website” link, you leave our site and Google's privacy policy applies. See Google's privacy policy.

Cookies

We don't set any first-party cookies. If we add advertising or analytics in the future, this policy will be updated and a cookie consent banner will appear.

Children

This site isn't directed at children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect information from them. Since we don't collect information from anyone, this is more of a formality.

Changes to this policy

If we change anything material, we'll update the “last updated” date at the top of this page.
